The Bradford Schools Linking Project is now in its sixth year and works with approximately 100 schools across the Bradford district.
These include 60 primary schools which are linked in pairs right across the district, a cluster model of 16 primaries that work also with the 3 secondaries in the Keighley district and approximately 20 secondary schools that work on a variety of curriculum activities and projects in relation to issues of identity and diversity. The secondary schools sometimes work on their own on these issues and sometimes in pairs or small groups.
All our work is based on the premise that exploring and developing an understanding of who we are and where we live are fundamental to the health, safety, well-being and achievement of our young people and our district.
Please read the article index to find out more about the history of how the Schools Linking Project has developed, and explore the site for evaluation reports and more information about how it operates.
The site has two layers: one for the public and one only for teachers and students involved in the linking work in Bradford. A password is required to access this part of the site, for security reasons.
This site will also shortly become linked to a new National Gateway where schools across the country will be able to find partner schools and receive CPD and ongoing support from the new Schools Linking Network, a national organisation, which is being formed using the principles and experience of the Bradford Schools Linking Project, with backing from the Department for Children, Schools and Families and in conjunction with the British Council Global Gateway, which supports international linking.
