Parents from Reevy Hill and St Phillips met up at the Positive Lifestyle Centre at Bradford City Football Club.

Parents from Reevy Hill and St Phillips met up at the Positive Lifestyle Centre at Bradford City Football Club. This was a chance for mums whose children are taking part in the Schools Linking Project to get together, chat and find out about the SLP.
It was a morning of fun and some alarming facts; Karen from Environmental Health came along with a fascinating machine which magnifies germs lurking upon apparently clean hands. We all agreed that skipping hand washing was not an attractive option!
We played some of the circle games we do to help children get to know one another.
Claire from Positive Lifestyle had us all laughing with her ‘guess the fruit’ game. From a few clues we had to say where different fruits originated from – Claire was not accepting ‘Tesco’ as an answer!
Finally, a tour of the football ground rounded off a positive morning.

Some comments from the parents involved:

“I found out how and why our children meet other school children and what activities they do”
“I found it very interesting and it helped us as parents to get to know each other”
“The activities are great ice breakers”
“Good fun”
