Celebration as Adil chosen to play for England |

You are invited to a celebration event for star cricketer Adil Rashid on Saturday 17 January 2009 - just days before he leaves to play for the England Cricket Squad in the West Indies tour.
Top cricketers at county and national level are expected to attend the event at the University of Bradford which has been organised by Javed Bashir, Education Bradfiord's Achievement Forum Co-ordinator, working in partnership with the Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Professional Muslims Institute and the university. A former student of Belle Vue Boys' School, Adil Rashid plays for Yorkshire and has already taken more than 100 first-class wickets as a spin bowler.
He is the first Pakistani-origin person to play cricket for Yorkshire and the third Yorkshire-born Asian to play for his county team. The event is in the Norcroft Centre at the university and to book a place please email
