Bookstart Bear joins in the Festival Fun Print E-mail

Bookstart Bear will be making several appearances in libraries across the district this week as part of Bradford ’s Family Learning Festival month. Families can come and meet the Bear, listen to a story and take part in a book making craft activity. This event is for pre-school children and their parents/carers.

Other exciting Festival events this week include a family craft session with artist Kat ie Jones at Wilsden Library on Tuesday 21 and St Augustine ’s Library on Saturday 25 October; Junk Art workshop – making art from recycled materials with Bradford Community Environment Project – will be available at Great Horton Library on Friday 24 and Silsden Library on Saturday 25 October.

There are also more fabulous activities taking place this weekend at the National Media Museum and Bradford Central Library including the family art workshops with the Festival artist-in-residence, Claire Wellesley-Smith. This week’s Super Saturday Family Film at the Pictureville Cinema ( Media Museum ) will be ‘Howl’s Moving Castle ’, starting at 10.30, cost £1 per person.

These events have been organised by a unique partnership between Education Bradford’s Family Learning Team, Bradford Libraries, The National Media Museum, Bookstart and Bradford Museums and Galleries.
