Due to essential upgrades to the Bradford Learning Network the service will be unavailable from Wednesday 2 April 2008 to Sunday 6 April 2008 inclusive. We apologise for the disruption this work may cause but it is crucial to the developments of the BLN. This work would normally happen exclusively during school holidays but due to how Easter falls this year, this has been impossible to arrange. Further to this notice and in response to requests from the secondary school community where there is a significant commitment to exam revision classes, it has been decided to delay these essential upgrades until next half term when of course a different set of schools may be affected. However, we cannot delay any longer and are already concerned at the impact this particular delay may have on service during next half term, particularly in respect of speed of Internet access. Other features and upgrades are also waiting on this particular upgrade and will also now be delayed however, we trust that the additional weeks of notice will help everyone to plan for no internet access during the week beginning the 26th May and the following weekend. We are attempting to communicate this decision before close of play today and must therefore note that we have not yet agreed this new date with ntl:Telewest Business or Synetrix.
