Thursday, 20 September 2007

choir1.jpgThe Singing Children of Africa’s Choir visit Bradford next week. They are a group of children brought together through the Samson Chivatis Children’s Appeal. Together with the Bradford Schools Choir organised by Education Bradford and pupils from Oldfield Primary School, they will be performing a night of music at Beckfoot School.

The evening, to be held on Monday 24 September, has been organised jointly by Education Bradford’s Cultural and Enrichment Services and Bev Ford, Extended Schools project manager and also one of the fundraisers, commences at 7pm. The programme will entail exciting and high quality performances from The Singing Children of Africa’s Choir, who recently toured the UK. As a result of their success and fundraising efforts, they plan to complete the orphanage for children in Africa.

The evening will also include performances from the Bradford Schools Choir conducted by Caroline Robinson and Oldfield Primary School led by Headteacher Maggie Redpath.

Tickets are on sale from Cultural and Enrichment Services and priced at £3 per person
