First Quality Framework in Bradford is awarded to the Bradford Arabic School The Diversity and Cohesion Team are very pleased to announce that the Bradford Arabic School was entered for the Quality Framework for Supplementary Schools in April 2009 and successfully gained the Silver Award by Continyou - the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education The Quality Framework for Supplementary Schools is a voluntary quality recognition scheme which is independent, peer assessed and self-regulated. Its aims are to recognise, record and improve the achievements of supplementary schools. They can gain a Quality Framework Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold level showing their achievements in teaching and learning, planning, and evaluation and management. The Bradford Arabic School was set up in January 2006 and is based at Byron Primary School during weekends. They have produced some excellent results in GCSE and AS Arabic examinations with over 96% of students achieving grade A or A*. We are indeed very pleased with their achievements. The Quality Framework was rolled out to Bradford Supplementary Schools in April 2008. The Bradford Arabic School had already successfully gained a Management Certificate covering child protection, health and safety and financial management which underpins each Award. Due to their outstanding practice they were able to by-pass the Bronze award and assessed for the Silver level award. Congratulations to the Bradford Arabic School and the hard work of staff and students in achieving this Award.
