Teachers, Support Assistants, Learning Mentors and pupils have been exploring the myths that have been created around race and racism through examining factual evidence, discussion, peer interaction and creative activities. Helping schools to work towards fulfilling the duty to promote community cohesion.

Three secondary schools were initially involved in this project: Hanson School, Queensbury School and Tong School.

Future work will focus on establishing transition links between these secondary schools and their feeder primary schools, focusing on the question ‘Who do we think we are?’ Pupils will explore this creatively through the subjects of the National Curriculum, RE and Citizenship.
