The Way We Live

                        We’re growing up in Allerton.

                        And proud of where we live.

                        We have our friends and families,

                        And lots of love to give.

                        We go school at Ley Top,

                        And this is our song.

                        We wrote especially for you,

                        So you can sing along.

         Chorus:  We have the right to freedom

                        We have the right to fun

                        We have the right to happiness

                        And so does everyone

                        We have the right to friendship

                        We have the right to dream

                        We have the right to live our lives in peace and harmony

                        We have the right to live our lives in peace and harmony

                        When we think of our future,

                        We wonder what we’ll be.

                        Maybe a Nurse or Doctor,

                        We’ll have to wait and see.

                        We’ll grow up to be friendly,

                        We’ll grow up to be good.

                        We’ll try to make a difference,

                        Like everybody should.

                        (Chorus)

                       We sing to you our message,

                        For every boy and girl,

                        In every town and city,

                        All around the world.

So now our song is ending

                        And we would like to say

                        We’re moving on together

                        Into another day

                        We have the right to freedom,

                        We have the right to fun.

                        We have the right to happiness,

                        And so does everyone.

                        We have the right to friendship,

                        We have the right to dream.

                        We have the right to live our lives in peace and harmony,

                        We have the right to live our lives in peace and harmony,

                        We have the right to live our lives in peace and harmony.

Written by the children of Ley Top Primary School year six class: ‘Fast and Furious’ and Roger Davies

No Wars Will Stop Us Singing

Ugly sounds are overhead and the streets are coloured red.

Young lives lost every day, it’s always been that way.

But we believe one day we’ll see a world at peace, in harmony.

And that is why we say:

Chorus:

No wars will stop us singing;

our voices will stay strong.

Even through the darkest night

we will sing our song.

No fear will stop us dreaming;

our dreams will light the sky.

Even when all hope is gone

our dreams will not die.

We are the future;

We are tomorrow;

We are the peace that you all crave.

If our lives are taken we’ll sing from beyond the grave.

We are the future;

We are tomorrow;

The peace that you all crave.

We’ll sing from beyond the grave.

No wars will stop us singing;

our voices will stay strong.

Even through the darkest night,

we will sing our song.

We will sing,

We will sing,

We must sing our song.
