The Kokeshi exhibition 2010 closed its doors on the 2nd April after a busy and highly successful month at Bradford College's Bradford Gallery, at the Yorkshire Craft Centre.
Over 2,000 school children visited the exhibition, plus members of the local community and students. The exhibition met with universal praise, in particular for it's sound educational content, which teachers commented 'covered all the bases' (in terms of the National Curriculum, SEAL and Citizenship). Both visitors and Ambassadors seemed to enjoy every moment and the Big Picture Show continued to enthral everyone (and make people jump!) right to the end. All our Ambassadors worked really hard and as the comments in the visitors' book clearly show, impressed again and again with their knowledge and confidence. Next will be the speakers corner events, allowing our children and young people to stand up and speak out about what matters to them. More about this soon and more information and pictures about the exhibition to follow too. Here are just a few photographs to give a feel of the experience that children and visitors enjoyed during Kokeshi 2010.
And of course all the Ambassadors were always on task! |
